In 2001, she was thrilled to meet and receive MMG Unit 1 training from Michiko Yurko who authored and developed the method. By observing and assisting Michiko in the summers that followed Rachel became one of a small group of teachers trained for the specific work of teaching Music Mind Games at student workshops. Rachel has been a guest clinician at workshops and Institutes in New York City, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Cleveland, Salt Lake City and Portland (MA) as well as in the home studios of colleagues throughout the Cincinnati area. "Thank you for teaching Music Mind Games... You made everything so much fun! All the games were entertaining and I enjoyed the chance to improve my sightreading." -- Kira, Boulder, CO Music Mind Games is comprised of more than 300 cooperative games for teaching music theory (the aspects of music learning concerning rhythm, pitch, ear training and dictation) and reading.
